03 / Selected impact
Work that develops
people and performance.
A view of the roles, environments and questions that have shaped my coaching. Here is the work behind the titles: the remit, the decisions and the evidence available to discuss.
Where I have worked
Three connected areas of practice.
01 / PLAYER PATHWAYS
Academy development
Across roles at Oldham Athletic, I worked with players and staff through foundation, youth and professional development phases, with responsibility for learning environments and progression pathways.
02 / COACHING SYSTEMS
Coach development
As Head of Coaching at Oldham Athletic and Academy Coach Developer at Stockport County, I supported coaches in connecting their practice, reflection and player needs.
03 / LEADERSHIP
Building environments
At Bradford Park Avenue I now lead the academy, recruitment and development of its football identity. The role brings the playing idea, people and pathway into one conversation.
Selected work
Look past the job title.
The question behind each role is the same: what changes for the player, coach or team when the environment improves?

Stockport County
Supporting the coach
Remit: Support academy coaches as Academy Coach Developer.
Work: Observe sessions, use dialogue and feedback, and help coaches turn reflection into practical changes in their next sessions.
Evidence: The coaching process, examples of feedback and relevant references can be discussed privately, subject to club permission.
Bradford Park Avenue · Current role
Recruitment and football identity
Remit: Lead the academy, take responsibility for recruitment and develop its football identity.
Work: Align the profile of players recruited with the principles and coaching environment the academy is building.
Evidence: This is a new chapter. Decisions and outcomes will be documented as the work develops.
Evidence with context
Every outcome has a story behind it.
These summaries give the starting point. Fuller case studies will add the problem, decisions, evidence and learning when records and permissions allow. My MSc research into head-coach characteristics also informs how I assess leadership and development.
If you are considering a coaching or leadership appointment, I can discuss the detail of my work and provide relevant references through the appropriate process.
